Ken Turns 50 without Barbie
Like President Obama, and George Clooney, Ken “Doll” Carson turns 50 this year, without Barbie in tow but aging rather more gracefully than his bimbo girlfriend.
While Barbie has remained a Miss Universe stereotype, Ken has graduated from red togs and the convertible with zippy surfboard to smart suits and a Malibu strapped to the roof rack of the Porsche Cayenne sports utility.
Toy Story and Twitter
With a new movie and a new page of Twitter, the world’s most famous toy boy is showing no signs of slowing down. In Toy Story 3, Ken played the character true to himself and had a total of 50 costume changes.
Ken works out and gets a spray tan. He is wise to the fact that the Californian sun has a strong melt factor, and every now and then he slips away at lunch for a Botox top-up.
And if this Google video spoof from South Jersey Gym Guy is anything to go by, he been more disciplined about keeping in shape than his former love.
Barbie Goes to Planet Fitness? Or Not.
Yes indeed. Barbie can keep her pink cocktails, along with the pink Malibu house, the pink Cadillac and the pink swing-seat which she obviously rather amply fills these days.
In the past few years, Ken has developed a taste for a single malt. Next holiday, he and Action Man will be heading to Scotland for a golf-and-Scotch tour of the Highlands.
As the Sydney Morning Herald reported, That’s where Ken’s at now. Man, it should be a blast.
