Mr Yobi is excited to announce the arrival of his new breed, dubbed the ‘African Pit-Bull’, on the international dog market.

“Today,” he says, “each man is individual. Each man… he wants to be different, to show his individuality. This is true even with his dog. And so for him, this new breed of mine is perfect.”

“Also, see how nice their spotty coat is! Very unusual and exclusive, no?”

Dangerous Breed?

Critics however have attacked the new breed.

“Whatever Mr Yobi would have us believe, these are not dogs,” Says local SPCA head, George Muyabe. “These are Hyenas, these are wild, dangerous animals. I mean quite literally—they are actual Hyenas!”

Mr Yobi is quick to defend his animals though.

“This sort of talk [from the SPCA] is just ignorance, hateful ignorance and prejudice. Look at him, my poor, beautiful friend. Muzzled by discrimination. How do you think he feels, with that muzzle forced on him? And being defamed as violent, dangerous? Dangerous! You would not believe how tender and affectionate this breed can be,” he adds, adjusting the animal’s spiked manacle. “Honestly, he would not even harm my pet chicken here.”

Mr Yobi’s chicken declined to comment.
