Elle magazine has published a list of the secret signs of aging.

According to the magazine, the two major signs of facial aging are uneven skin pigmentation and a loss of lustre. They also cite hooded eyelids, nose drooping, thinning lips, sparse brows, drained colour, and jawline-sag.

Four Facial Assets

Elle says however that some individuals may have a natural edge in disguising these signs.

A heart-shaped face, and fuller cheekbones are two significant boons, as these features apparently help reduce sag and give skin a plumper appearance. Also of advantage is skin rich in melanin and/or natural oil, as both traits will mitigate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Lifestyle Impact

However 80% of aging is attributed to lifestyle factors. Excessive sun-exposure, smoking, stress, yo-yo dieting and poor nutrition are asserted to be the prime culprits here.

So unsurprisingly perhaps, the secret once again seems to be common sense!
