Recently engaged, Mark Bryant knows a thing or two about real commitment.

“When I wanted to propose to Jill, ask if she’d marry me, I knew I wouldn’t be satisfied with the standard, empty gestures,” he says. “They’ve been done to death. I told myself I wouldn’t just settle for anything, I needed to find some way to really make my mark.”

And he meant it: just four hours after making his big decision, he got his proposal tattooed across his wrists.

Putting Your Skin on the Line

“This way,” Mark says, “she can tell I’m serious. So she can see right away, yeah, this is for real, this Mark fulla is 100% committed to her. And I am. She’s the only woman for me—always has been, always will be.”

And Jill’s response?

“Oh yeah,” Mark laughs. “I guess she was pretty happy, pretty pleased with my effort. Yeah, it was a yes all right! A woman can always spot real commitment in man. They sure got a good nose on them for the real thing, when it does finally come along!”

No Doubts

Mark then went on to describe their plans for a two week honeymoon in Mauritius, at some length.

When asked why only the words ‘will you’ & ‘marry me’ were tattooed on his wrists, however, with no specific mention of Jill’s name, Mark recalled he had an overdue meeting with wedding planners and was unable to comment further.
